Title: Another Platinum WiFi event!

dragonfly - November 13, 2008 12:37 AM (GMT)
so, players of Pokemon Platinum have another WiFi event to look forward to. apparently, between December 1st 2008 and January 15th 2009, players will be able to get the Member's Card via the Mystery Gift option. the Member's Card essentially gives you access to New Moon Island, where you can find, battle, and catch Darkrai.

apologies for the double-post, but i had some more info.
rumor has it that some time next year, after Pokemon Platinum's US release, Nintendo will offer another WiFi Mystery Gift, in the form of Oak's Letter, which ultimately leads the way to capturing Shaymin! obviously, this hasn't been confirmed on Pokemon.com, yet. also, i'm guessing it won't happen until sometime after the current WiFi gift is no longer available (January 15th.). i will most likely post more info here as soon as i have it. :dtu:

on platinum isn't there an evolution for that little leaf hedgehog?

dragonfly - December 6, 2008 10:31 PM (GMT)
well, it's not an evolution. it's just a different form, if you have a certain item. there's also a different form for Giratina, and 5 different forms for Rotom.

Did the North American versions of Diamond and Pearl even get a Mystery Gift Event? This is just pathetic.

I totally can't smell the bias.

Keep in mind that I'm in temporary denial that Nintendo's main market focus is Japan.

mew-too - December 7, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
Muc, stop flaming members, just because you don't want to import a game from Japan doesn't mean you have to be an ass.

Ikarou007 - December 8, 2008 02:05 AM (GMT)
Uh, when did anyone even mention importing? Enlighten me.

Well, the GameStop events count as Mystery Gift. And then PBR also gave you like, 3 others that count as Mystery Gift. But yeah, Nintendo of America hasn't bothered to do a Wi-Fi Mystery Gift for us Americans because they're a bunch of greedy mother fu-

Anyways, to answer your question; Local Mystery Gift: Yes. Wi-Fi Mystery Gift: Not at all, and I don't think they will any time soon.

This is bullshit. They're releasing all the Wi-Fi events for the Japanese versions without waiting for North America and Europe to get there versions. Then when the NA and Euro versions come out, nothing will happen.

What a childish assumption, Graveman.
Please, don't make up random spam when you post.

You're such a fucking gimmick, mew-too. A broken record.

Every post you make is either a remark that someone's posts are spam despite the fact they are actually on-topic and that you just target people the way you do to build up a hardcore image that no one buys, or it's a post in disagreement not because you actually disagree, but just because you can, and the post is always concluded with something along the lines of, "I'm glad I tought you something today, son." Gee, thanks dad! But I didn't know I was attending Fuck-face University with King Chump-change as my instructor.

I hope your mother farts in your dinner tonight, Chump-change.

Well, I'm aware of the local Mystery Gift, but I meant the Wi-Fi Mystery Gift. My bad for not being as specific.
