Title: The Conduit

Falco - June 24, 2009 09:38 PM (GMT)
Soooo will anyone be picking up the Conduit?
Reviews are solid and the game looks pretty good as a whole, I'm thinking I might pick it up.

Shooter55 - June 24, 2009 10:29 PM (GMT)
I'll be picking it up in the the coming weeks. The game looks really good. The fact the controls are completely customizable get me really excited. And of course its the first real FPS for the Wii. Online as well~

Tutankoopa - June 25, 2009 06:42 AM (GMT)
I wasn't planning on getting it, since I don't go clanning anymore.

It looks great, but I'm not terribly interested.

Ikarou007 - June 26, 2009 01:48 AM (GMT)
Agreed with Tut. I'm skittish nowadays with spending money, especially on video games. While it maybe on the list of games I'm considering getting, I probably won't for quite some time.

Double Oh Seven - June 27, 2009 03:43 AM (GMT)
Now that I am paying for my own gas for my car entirely my money is a bit on the low side. Just went out and got some McDonalds with Nekolo in fact and barely managed. Maybe as soon as I get a job I'll be able to spend some money on video games, but as it stands I have other fiscal priorities.

Dubloh is broke. :[

Ikarou007 - June 30, 2009 01:54 AM (GMT)
Then that leaves the simple solution here to go and get a job. Lazy bum.

That, or lern2pirategames.

Pirate games have no online though. D:

It looks good, I might get it as my "once a year" game. Unless Kirby Wii comes out like promised..

Same. I just bought a ps3 and 5 games. If that isn't out of cash I don't know what is.

We all need jobs, now. ;-;

As for the game, I'm interested cause it looks like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark with completely customizable Wii controls and aliens. Tell me that doesn't sound awesome. Since good games don't sell on wii (NMH and Madworld) I'll wait till it goes to $30 like those games.

Shooter55 - July 2, 2009 07:50 AM (GMT)
Its sold over 100,000 in the first week alone, it isn't getting a price drop anytime soon.

Jak - July 2, 2009 06:25 PM (GMT)
The game doesn't interest me much, plus I'm tight on cash as always. I can't remember the last time I purchased a video game...:mmmrph:

Ikarou007 - July 2, 2009 10:59 PM (GMT)
Same, I can't either. But this game looks interesting enough for me to consider getting it the next moment I get enough cash.

lol dd

I stand corrected.

Still, I can't get it any time soon. Maybe when I do I'll get it used. Oh and am I the only one that thinks the Conduits box art looks like some cheezy sci-fi flick from the 80's?

Ikarou007 - July 3, 2009 10:00 PM (GMT)
Okay, you got me there. On the bright side, it could have been worse.

Why hello guys. I recently bought the game and I can say that it's very average, the graphics, the story and the multiplayer are all very meh. The controls are great though and shooting stuff is fun but I wouldn't suggest getting this game. Rent it if you like shooting stuff but yeah it's not a buy IMO.

Bardock - July 8, 2009 03:44 AM (GMT)
I'll be getting it as soon as I get the money...or for my birthday...whichever comes first.

I don't care if it is just considered decent. It's a Wii FPS, and Nintendo needs to know FPSs + Wii controls = great team!

Slasher - August 12, 2009 01:54 PM (GMT)
To attempt to revive discussion on this game...I have the game myself and I find it to be great. The story I thought was good, but a bit too short. And the multiplayer can get a bit old after awhile, but can still remain fun at least.
So far I've found almost every secret in campaign mode, still missing like 2 data disks and 3 messages though. And I'm rank 15 out of 24 in multiplayer, which is the second gold rank.

Would have flowed better if you hadn't have capitalized YOU, other wise it reads funny.

Bardock - August 13, 2009 03:44 PM (GMT)
I got it. It's actually pretty decent. Sort of like Lion said. The story is good, but short. The wifi is infested with glitchers and hackers, as well as many bugs in the game, but if you can overlook them all, the multiplayer games are a blast. It sort of reminds me of Metroid Prime Hunters, where the company didn't pay much attention to the multiplayer.

I hate the Semi Circle of Death you get every once in a while. It's a spawn glitch when you enter a game which doesn't allow you to do anything until the game ends. I also hate losing the connection to the other players, because not only does it take forever to get back to the menu, when you do, and you select an option, nothing comes up! You're stuck with the background until you UNPLUG the wii! Turning it off won't help, because you're practically frozen.

Oh, and spawn killing is back. >_<

Yeah, I've been overlooking all the messed up crap, which does make it a fun game once you do. And they should at least fix the semi-circle of death thing, which I believe happens most often when you spawn in a wall or outside the area somehow.
I've met up with some hackers before and only very few glitchers, although they usually suck and are quite easy to ignore and get away from. The only hacker I've met that I liked before though, was someone by the name of The Companion Cube who made it go to a hacked map, which I believe was a test stage that Nintendo used. Video of test map

Huh, makes sense.

Another thing, when you get an "Unable to connect to the internet" error message, why, immediately after, does it say "Disconnecting from Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection." ???

BS much? :ehhcrap:

Probably because Nintendo loves not making sense and being annoying.
