I have more definitions such as Abstract, Cool Colors, Warm Colors, Highlight, Colorwheel, etc.

Here Is the tips

-When working on a picture, focus on the main ideal of the drawing.
-Make a background (if coloring picture) opposite to the color that you used on your image as your color (Black is a good to use)
-Visualize the concept of your art.
-Dont let any out-side noses distract you from working on your art.

Here is some True and False
-It is not true that White and Black is a color. I know its surprising but Black and White are just all the colors combined together to make up White and Black. And its so concept that you do not realize that all of those colors are even mixed in.
-Nin-o aka Nicky is going to be a great artsist. True you will see some day and not because I posted this...
- Art can help out your education. This is true art can help out to your education if learned in earlier grades, and eccepted into higher clases.

This is all I have for know more will be up-dated later

Whoa...this is very good...mind if I add to it? ^^

As for Black and White, you're right but as for more detail, White is present when all wavelengths are reflected back, meaning it is the "presence of all color". However, Black appears when all of the wavelengths are absorbed, thus making it known as "absence of color".

You should also mention the Principles of Art, as these are pretty important I think. xD You mentioned Unity so why not the others? I'll help you out there....

[*]Variety - The opposite of Unity pretty much in a nut shell, leaving very little repetition and patterns, making your piece very interesting. However, too much Variety can lead to unintentional chaos within a piece, so that is something to be aware off
[*]Balance - This particular one is somewhat self-explanatory. Achieving balance must be from distributing certain objects, people, etc. around your artwork, leaving almost no undesired empty space. Otherwise, a sense of awkwardness will be given to anyone looking at your artwork.
[*]Pattern/Repetition - Once again, this is self-explanatory. xD In a nutshell, it's the repetitive sequence of shapes, colors, or any other specific factor or art. Be aware too many usages patterns can lead to a boring piece in most cases.
[*]Proportion - The relation of size between one object to another in one piece of art.
[*]Movement - Now this is an interesting one. many people would think that incooperating this principle within their art requires them to draw an object showing motion. Wrong! Movement does not refer to what is moving in your piece, it refers to the eyes of your audience. When they look at your piece, to achieve movement, their eyes have to move along the piece, whether it be a drawn piece of wire, leading somewhere else in your art, etc.
[*]Emphasis - Emphasis is the act of trying to have one specific area, color, shape, etc. 'stand out' in your work. You can achieve this through having the certain desired emphasized area to be bigger, a different, bolder color than the rest of the piece, or even the shape of it, etc. Your goal here is to make that desired area the very first thing your read will notice. Then you will have succeeded in have creating proper Emphasis in your piece.
[*]Contrast - Now, Contrast is still tricky for me. From what I've seen, it's the implication of two or more colors that are opposites from each other. A commonly used combination are Black and White. From what I've done, you can draw black on white paper, or vice-versa, but there are many other ways to add contrast to a piece.
[*]Rhythm - Same as above, I'm shaky with Rhythm too. I think of Rhythm in Art as a combination between Movement and Pattern. While it requires a pattern, it also needs movement of the eye. So variation, even if a little bit, is needed to achieve it.

........................................................................

More Art Terms :D

Saturation - Pretty much, the intensity of a certain color, compared to white

Hue - A color or shade of a certain color
~Shade - The result of any color mixed with black
~Tint - The result of any color mixed with white

Primary Colors - Three colors consisting of Red, Blue, and Yellow; Cannot be made by mixing
~Secondary Colors - Made by mixing primary colors;Consists of Orange, Purple, and Green

Complimentary Colors - Colors that are on opposite sides within each other on the color wheel

Monochromatic - Using many tints of shades but from one color
~Polychromatic - Using two or more colors; Multicolored

Anyways, hope that helped a bit ^^

So, well to start out this brand new forum, I'd thought that it would need an overall overview for those who are kinda lost with making siggys. xD

So, seen flashy signatures in forums you go to? How do they make them? Is it really hard? Well, (hopefully) these questions will be answered here. :D

Image Editing programs are the source of these siggys. There are many different programs, but the majority comes down to two main programs; Photoshop and Gimp. There are clear differences between the two, as both have their pros and cons. Lets go into a bit of detail on both, shall we?

Lets first review THE GIMP. To avoid any confusion from the start, GIMP stands for...

GNU Image Manipulation Software

What is GNU you ask? I have no effing clue. Some open source operating system.....

ANYWAYS...the prime factor of Gimp that appeals to many people is that it is open source, meaning that it is free. We all love free things! Also, its interface is much easier and simpler to use that of Photoshop. Overall, a nice beginner program for people who don't want to dish out $300 for a damn program. I, myself started out in Gimp, and I still keep it today. However, it is fairly limited compared to Photoshop, so that is to keep in mind.

Now it's time for Photoshop, the big bad Adobe monster. Practically everyone as at least heard of this program. It's considered the program for 'professionals' in Graphics. However, it doesn't come cheap, unless you got it like me *cough* >_>. Yeah, and it's interface can confuse anyone prior to any experience with it. It took me 10 Minutes to find the smudging tool in Photoshop, until Shoots clued me in. D: 10 Bloody minutes. However, Photoshop is nearly endless with it's capabilities. Make beautiful forum signatures to enhancing breathtaking photos, Photoshop is there. That is, if you know how to use it.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so now you've acquired your program, now what? You want to make those flashy and purdy siggys right? Well, in a nutshell, it's easier said that done. The best thing to do is to sit yourself down, and play around with the tools, colors, filters, etc. This will give you a nice feel to the program and getting you to become comfortable to its interface.

Tutorials are very helpful, to beginners and geniuses alike. They expose you to a new array of techniques, tools, and many other ways to help you grow better in skill and knowledge. However, as good as it is to follow tutorials, art is still art. It is meant for you to express yourself through your own style.

After following a tutorial, add your own twist to your work. Eventually, this will continue until you get a unique style of your own.

Once again, this is much easier said than done. Frustration will constantly knock on your door, discouraging you. You can never create the perfect sig, no matter how good you are. But that is your goal, to strive to perfection. Just keep that in mind peoplez. ;P

Useful Links/Sites :D

-GIMP Home Site - The main site and download place for GIMP. Remember, it free and is compatible with all platforms. :D
~GIMP Talk - A great site with many fellow Gimper made tutorials.

-DeviantArt - This site is great for Gimp and Photoshop brushes a like. However, keep in mind that other people created them, so give credit to where credit is due!

-PlanetRenders - A fantastic site for renders. Too lazy to make your own renders for siggys? You've come to the right place. But the same goes to DeviantArt, give credit where credit is due. Also, it is an overall nice graphics community
~GamerRenders - Same concept as PlanetRenders, but a bit smaller and underrated. According to a little birdy *cough*, it's as 'equally good as PlanetRenders', so it's worth a post.

-DaFont - A really great source site for arious fonts! Looking for a specific font for you Gimp or Photoshop works? This is the place for you!

-Kidyoshi's little topic - Our very own Kidyoshi's topic is in this thread! Should he feel special? He should. Anyways, his topic contains some similar links to mine, however, his has more to rendering sites and such, and more anime renders!!! ^^

More Links Coming Soon~

Comments, tips, gratitude, or any other additions to this will be welcome. ^^
