Full Metal Alchemist is a personal favorite of mine...Hmm...Innocent Venus is a short and sweet to the point kinda' series. The beginning [first 4 or so episodes] are a little tedious, but the story line is pretty interesting. The whole series is about 12 episodes long.
Death Note is another personal favorite. I've gushed about it for a long time now. Its a very good...brain teaser? For most of the show, I didn't know what side to take. Kira's or L's. In the end I sided with both of them. Haha. xD
Ouran High School Host Club is a cute one. It makes me so happy when I watch it. :)
I also like Wolf's Rain a lot - It's a little bit of a tear jerker though. D:

well, the only series i've ever enjoyed to any extent were Outlaw Star and Cowboy Bebop. Ikki Tousen was also a lot of fun, once you moved past the gratuitous amounts of fan service. Gantz was well done, but not something i could watch over and over again, due to the excessive amounts of blood and gore. other than that, i stick primarily with movies. virtually anything by Miyazaki is good. i liked Millenium Actress. classics like Akira and the first Ghost in the Shell movie (from long before they ever made it into a series) are good, too.

The one's I've enjoyed the most would be...

Gundam Seed (seriously... best show I have ever seen, no question...)
Outlaw Star (it's pretty dang old but it's good =P)
Bleach (Up to the end of the Soul Society arc.... after that, the show just pretty much repeats the same thing with every new arc)
Samurai Champloo (Funny and awesome at the same time =P)
Tenchi Muyo (Haven't seen it in forever, but I remember being pretty into it =P)
Full Metal Panic! (I dunno it's just good =P)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Haven't seen too far into it, but what I did watch was good)

Finally, someone who actually realizes that. :/

Dragon Ball Z (*braces self for attack from ikarou*)
One Piece
Naruto
Bleach
Shaman King (but only occasionally)
Pokemon (only the classics)
Yu-Gi-Oh (again, only the classic)
BoBoBo-Bo Bo-BoBo (My fave comedy anime! ^.^)

Zeratul - April 24, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
Shows like DBZ and Bleach I can only handle for so long, because it's entirely based around fighting. The story is just mediocre, and all the entertainment value is fighting, which also leads it to constantly repeat itself. Shows like Gundam Seed where it's got some pretty epic battles but also has a pretty mind-blowing story and focuses a lot on it... Those just pretty much rule.

Ikarou007 - April 24, 2008 09:56 PM (GMT)
Samurai Champloo absolutely wins for most badass fight scenes, of course, not counting Karas. Not only are all the fights in there genuinely and incredibly animated from scratch, and not rehashed from past episodes, but the moves and tactics are realistic, yet insanely unreal at the same time. In other words, they're absolutely kickass.

Dragon Ball Z wasn't as bad as people say it is. Well, up until the Cell Saga that is. I agree with many people that the whole series should have ended then, with the ambiguity of Goku being alive or not left in the open, and it ending there. However, with the start of the whole Android and Cell saga, many contradictions to the Saiyan were made. Such as, the Super Saiyan supposedly being the strongest being in the universe. Yet, in the later sagas, the Super Saiyan can't do shit. The hell?

Obviously, FLCL would be my favorite anime. I don't really want to explain myself on why I like it so damn much for the 50th time, though. To sum it up, it has a great soundtrack, incredible animation, one hell of a plot, fresh character designs, and just overall genuinely enjoyable to watch.
