Title: UFO sighting in Phoenix Arizona
Description: 4/21/08
Over My Head - April 26, 2008 02:51 AM (GMT)
On April 21, 2008 lights were again reported over Phoenix by local residents. These lights appeared to change from square to triangular formation over time.
It was also reported by a resident, that shortly after the lights appeared, three jets were seen heading west in the direction of the lights. An official from Luke Air Force Base denies any Air Force activity in the area.
On April 22, a resident of Phoenix told a newspaper that the lights were nothing more than his neighbor releasing helium balloons with flares attached. This was confirmed by a police helicopter. The following day a Phoenix resident -- who declined to be identified in news reports -- stated that he had attached flares to helium balloons and released them from his backyard.
To me, the flare story sounds like a cover up to quiet down the people. So no government agency cares that a civilian without any permits flies flares over such a fire prone area? The government uses the same story every time when there is a UFO sighting "It's a weather balloon, dont worry." Take the sighting in Roswell for example. Balloons, fishing line and some road flares. Simple and effective hoax.

If you research weather ballons more the actually a sent up quite often so it possible. plus Wikipedia isn't a creditable source so i would try find an article about it on like a .org or.gov website.

It gets aggravating seeing how society has established "UFO" as synonymous with "aliens".

Exactly.

I've seen some UFO's before. That doesn't mean there were aliens, but it's a possibility.
Jiya - April 29, 2008 12:22 AM (GMT)
Never seen a UFO before, most flying objects I see, I know.
Divette - April 30, 2008 03:13 AM (GMT)
The only reason why people associate UFOs with aliens is because they are all paranoid.
Doctah - April 30, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure that's not it. :ecksdee:
It's probably closer to the fact that the media portrays them that way.
Divette - April 30, 2008 03:39 AM (GMT)
And that is because they are paranoid.
Doctah - April 30, 2008 09:11 AM (GMT)
No, it's not. It's because the media shows what the people want to see and what the big companies and the government tells them to.
Divette - May 1, 2008 02:47 AM (GMT)
Yes, and THAT makes the media paranoid.
rubberbandmanzor - May 1, 2008 07:00 PM (GMT)
It's pretty believable that there could be aliens out there (in space) seeing as it is endless and everything.
Divette - May 2, 2008 02:04 AM (GMT)
Yeah, that is very true as there could be aliens that haven't revealed themselves just yet and are waiting for the right moment.
