Topia is a general discussion board currently with a lot of activity in the Art and Discussions boards. Topia was made is February 2007, and was founded by Double oh Seven. Topia quickly grew to good activity, gaining 50 members in 25 days. Currently Topia is at 810 members, as of May 23rd. Topia is also at 65,341 posts, as of May 23rd.


3.) What must you do in order to fulfill your job?
Be active, don't slack. You should do it everytime a new members posts an intro, not just the cool ones.

Because I feel I would be great for the job of not only welcoming people to Topia, but telling them the rules and answering they're questions.


2.) What can you tell me about Topia?
Topia is the most famous gaming community on invisionfree.com! It was created by Double Oh Seven, and has a wide variety of friendly members, ACTIVE members, and many, many gamers. It has many discussion boards and has it's own flash game arcade and IRC/XAT chatroom. Overall, Topia is the #1 site to go to if you want a friendly gaming community. :kawaii:


3.) What must you do in order to fulfill your job?
I must welcome every newcomer and teach them the history of Topia (if they're willing to learn it.) I must also teach them the rules and answer any questions they have to the best of my ability!

Well I have over 250 so I guess that works.

I'm on Topia every day for about 2-3 hours, usually at night and sometimes during the day.

3.) Must have a general understanding of what they are applying for..
The main concept in my opinion is to welcome newcomers to Topia and give them a general understanding of what Topia is like,

(Ex: Sections of Topia).

Each one of these sections has its own discription in which we explain to the new members of Topia. This would be my general idea of what we would explain to the Newcomers or confused members that came into Topia. Following the QNA of the members questions by following a pm. A good thing would also be to explain some of the Mods/Admins of Topia and telling them

"If there is any problems pm a Mod/Admin or pm the (W.W) stating your problem, or confusion".

EXPERIENCE:

I have sent newcomers of Topai sections explaining the confusions they may have, mainly the sections. Some have been from newcomer sigging and advertising problems but mainly newcomers have problems understanding the systems of Topia.(Ex: how you get set Tokens). Some members don't know how many posts you get from posting. Or the Rep System from posting a detailed post and then getting rep points from helping out that member with his/her problem. So I guess I have some experience in handling these situations. I mostly want to make up for being in-active and I think this may help with the situation in hand.

1.) Why do you want to be a Welcome Wagon Member?

As I said in the last post I want to make up for being in-active and I also want to help out any newcomers to Topia with any situations. I could stop there but I want to explain why I want to help out newcomers to Topia.

I mostly want to help newcomers to Topia because it some times annoys me when Admins/Mods have to deal with all the in-consistent "Where do I post this topic?" or "How do you *insert problem here*...

Further most I want to make sure that some of the members of Topia get into reading the rules. Thats actually one thing we can update since the rules haven't been seen by some members in quite a while. Thats why I want to be a Welcome Wagon Member.

2.) What can you tell me about Topia?

Well the way I see it Topia is one of the most active communities I have ever known in my time, and Ive been to quite a lot of forums. I'm not saying Topia's the best, because its not (no forum is the best).

Topai also has some very active and inactive members. We the members of Topia try our best into getting new members and making this community active. We also have some of our main sections brought in other banners and advertisements. These are the sections I'm talking about...

Gaming - Video Games, Online, Activity etc...

Music - Tutankoops runs most of the Music sectiosn which deals with audio, videos, Mp3, and other topics dealign with music like bands.

Art - This is mostly the GFX section of Topia, like with gfx assistance, art, and its consistent sigs that members hand in.

Advertisement - Deals with the members of Topia tryign to get more members to Topia, and get involved with our community. Sometimes we get flamed because of this but we try our best.

This is probably 45% of what I can tell you about Topia. I just wanted to get down to the main things.

3.) What must you do in order to fulfill your job?

In order to fulfill my job i must not mess up with what I did with mod. That is one of those mistakes I will try not to make again, I didn't think I could take the heat because I was afraid I was going to fail the admins. This is different though in order to fix up what I messed up I will try to fulfill all the duties of what a Welcome Wagon member must do. Even if that means extra training.

EXPERIENCE: I feel that I'm a very user-friendly person who is easy to get along with. I have much experience with answering questions from Newcomers, and I know this forum inside-out.



Please answer the following questions:

1.) Why do you want to be a Welcome Wagon Member?
I want to be a welcome wagon member for many reasons. First, I want to show the newcomer around Topia, and make a friend with them. If I can manage that, then they will see Topia as a friendly place, with a lot of activities to do. Many times I have seen a member join, post a welcome topic, then leave and never come back. I want to stop that from happening. Another reason is if the member happens to be a trouble maker, then I will make sure they know the rules and the punishments for breaking them. This, again, will make sure that member sees Topia as a great place to be, and will most likely stay.


2.) What can you tell me about Topia?
Topia is a very active and friendly community. The members are great here, the activities are great here, and it's overall just one of my favorite places to be internet-wise. I would love to help out Topia by helping the newbies find their way around.



3.) What must you do in order to fulfill your job?
In order to fulfill my job, I must be very active. This is something I have been working on as much as I can, after losing the Mod elections. I must be able to answer any question that a newcomer might have, and make sure that they understand almost anything about Topia.
