Shooter, Iky, DD and I were talking in the XAT and we thought it would be awesome if we were able to donate tokens to each other. What do you guys think?

It's a great idea. It allows more flexibility on the user's part when organizing contests, and other various competitions.

I think this is a cool idea. I will need people to donate tokens to me for the "FirePowah is awesome donate now" fund. Everytime you don't, a Kitten dies. :3

this would put too much stress and work on the administrators i think

to update the tokens code every time someone wants to give someone tokens.

all you have to do is PM an admin to see if it is ok to award tokens for a contest, if your too lazy to do that then you shouldn't be hosing a contest in the first place.

I'm fairly certain there's a system that works with invisionfree that lets users donate tokens to eachother without passing through an admin.

Your system would put way more stress and work on the admins, pretz.

topia doesn't use that code.

Yeah theres a system where you click "donate tokens" then you type in the number of tokens you want to donate and subtract it from what you already have, also I'm pretty sure you can put the code. Topia's a website so we could just input it if the admins agree. This is a pretty good idea but It should only be used when soemthing does something good, or respectful.

Or when you want to work together with a bud to make a member forum but don't have the money. I'd surely donate to anyone, because i don't have any reason to have these tokens besides custom emoticons, but 1500 posts is way too long for me to save up =P

I'm all for a system that allows users to manually donate tokens to each other. I'll look into a code that allows that. Any links to such a code would be appreciated.

I dont want to sound like a negative nancy but i dont think its that great of an idea. First off, most of such codes are pretty glichy and end up backfiring like the mood code and such. It also creates cluter. It creates clutter by members not earning tokens and they just get lazy and donate. Then basically, there will be one person with a lot of tokens that donates to people so the can buy a member forum and such. It ruins the perspective of earning your privalges.

But thats just my 4 cents. It's all up to Tut.

Even if he does give the idea we still have tio find a code that lets us do that because if we mess around with the forum too much, it can crash. I have seen that happen.
