i've been a fan of his since i first heard anything by him, over 20 years ago. as cheesy and clichéd as this is going to sound, the world really has lost one of it's truly great thinkers.

Well then, may he rest in peace. I give my condolences to his family, friends and fans.

I will forever remember him as that conductor dude from Shining Time Station, as odd as it sounds. That was my favorite show growing up. Like, absolute favorite.

May he rest in peace.

It seems idiotic trying to pay respects in text but, may he rest in peace.

How? May it be in text, or speech, the same feelings and intention are present. By definition, 'condolences' means to express sympathy, so they really isn't a different if you preach it to the world, or type it up in your room.

The only idiotic thing here is me trying to argue with you on such a trivial matter.

George Carlin was a genius and I base my stance on a vast aray of topics squarely on his way of thinking. For example, I don't vote because I agree with Carlin saying it only presents us with an illusion of choice (the guy I vote for never wins, so my vote is wasted).

I've only cryed for a few famous people when they died. Owen Hart (wrestler). Eddie Guerrero (also a wrestler). And George Carlin.

If anyone here is triely a fan of Carlin's craft, you'll do the same as I do by not saying he's looking down on us from above and smiling, or looking up at us and screaming in pain, because George Carlin never believed in an afterlife.

Though I do hope there is an afterlife, and if there is, I hope he's resting in peace.

Bret "The Hitman" Hart is dead? when did he die? :mmmrph:

anyway, I agree there are certain people that I would break down over if they died. Such as, as you said, Eddie Guerrero and GC.

Wa.. what? Are you serious? I just said OWEN Hart, Bret Hart's brother. 1999, after falling and smacking his head on a ring post after a failed enterance stunt.
