The concept of awarding someone posts just makes no sense to me. I'd be just as baffled if I were at a party and someone won a game of beer pong, and were awarded +5 drinks. You've only had three beers, but now you can say you've had eight! Even though you aren't getting any drunker!

Post count isn't like money. Its simply a number that records how many times someone has pressed "add reply, " in order for people to gauge how long and/or how much time a person has spent at this forum. If I were awarded five hundred posts right now, I'd have 526 posts, when I've been here maybe two weeks. Maybe its just me, but awarding posts seems more like tampering with statistics than a reward.
