blackpoison - August 11, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
Hey, so being playing with world of warcraft but in private servers.
If anyone knows of these or plays themseleves what are your thoughts on them?

Here are mine:
Even though blizzard may not like these and ban your retail account if cought but they are pretty good, some of them are anyways.
Some have rude or Gms that have to much power and abuse it.

Kind Regards

I've heard tons about private servers, and I've also seen some. I don't really enjoy the fact that you get everything right away, since it doesn't seem rewarding to any extent. I suppose that's why I play on the US servers instead. I don't know, I always liked earning my items.

However, it seems as if Blizzard is constantly trying to get rid of these servers, since it's kind of a loss for them due to the fact that private servers are free. Greedy Blizzard, as if they need anymore money. They'll probably get around 1 million dollars or more via Wrath of the Lich King, which I sadly might buy.

/wrists.

Your actually wrong :O

Blizzard does not attempt to take down these servers in anyway or form, they do however ban accounts for those who play on private servers who have a retail account. By the way iv owned 3 private servers :) im smart lol.

It seems to me like a private server would take all of the fun out of it. Not to mention they're illegal.

People have been debating about if these were legal or not however infact there are 100% legal, over 500 pages on wow top 100 and odd ones around on other sites like that one, ac-web who designs repacks for wow servers and other addons and databases has been open for ages if all this was illegal like you say it would have been closed when they opened.
