I click on my usual new topics button today and suddenly there was over 10 new porn topics. I mean porn is great and all but I'd rather not view it here

Sorry about that i have been deleting post all morning, but since i am just a mod i cannot ban them :/ i hope i get some help from the other staff and try not to click the topics with such perverted name...

Spambots usually only post once and disappear of the face of the board forever, so banning wouldn't do much.

On that note, I hate to agree, but there needs to be more mods. Possibly just one or two should be alright for now, while the spambots post one at a time in just one section of the board (Serious Sofa) for the most part.

Okay, scratch what I said completely... Serious Sofa now has the first page full of spam porn topics by the same two spambots.

Two and a half pages, actually. With the first page consisting of bot topics made within seven minute intervals of each other, roughly. Damn.

I agree with the addition to another mod on the staff. Despite that I, myself said that spambots aren't the end of the world, if these scenarios continue to happen, then we'll have a problem. Especially considering that nearly half of the current staff seems to be absent, for whatever justified reason it may be.

i say we take everything and move it someplace else lol im just kidding we should have one more mod at least if not 1 then 2

Yeah I completely agree. This site is getting overrun by spam bots. I think we should at least have 2 more mods to help out since most of the staff is gone. Maybe the runner-ups of the mod contest could be it.

Atleast until the admins figure something out of course.

I think there needs to be back-up mods. That way if half the mods are gone then there is someone to help them out when the are gone. Then when they get back the other back-up mod can bring them up to speed on the action and what they had to do or what might need to be done in the mean time.

Exactly, well, assuming that you meant can't that is. The only two mods I see these days on a daily basis are you, and Wolf. In addition to Locke, albeit less frequent that the aforementioned two.

The only admin we can account for at the moment is Tut, as Dubloh and Falco are away, as I stated before, for their own justified reasons. The decision on determining whether electing another moderator is the best solution, and how it'll occur, is up to him.

I'll try to be on more to help out Wolf and Ky. I agree that I haven't been doing my part but I delete anything I see. That 2 and a half pages of porn is now gone, and I'll keep on eye on those two spam bots until Tut bans them both.

We need someone active as mod. Seriously. I'm not saying you guys aren't, but someone who is at least more active.

Wolf KY and Locke are active, but most importantly mods should be able to ban members

Maybe Tut could promote a couple of mod to admins to ban the bots doing this.

But I banned the 2 bots responsible for the raid of the Serious Sofa. Things should calm down.
