Post a detailed explanation on how you smudge, I think this will be a fun topic to discuss one of my favorite tools in PS, plus help newbies learn some tricks.

Oh and to keep it interesting, you guys have to post 8 times before I post how I smudge. Good luck.

Anyway, I rarely smudge. However, for the rare instances I do, I usually use some generic settings with a hard round brush. Such as playing around with the Shape Dynamics, and Scatter options.

Heres one setting I made:

I mainly mess around with scatter then smudge the sides of the whatever I'm smudging in.

I feel like a newb now D: All I ever do is, get the soft circle, and move it around...
