with October right around the corner, and Halloween fast approaching, i figured i'd rattle off a couple of ideas i had for some Halloween-themed events we could host here on Topia.

first off, perhaps a Ghost-type Only Pokémon tourney? simple concept, really. everyone who participates can ONLY use Ghost-type pokes. that's it.

secondly, i doubt there'd be much interest in this, but if anyone still plays Animal Crossing Wild World, perhaps someone could host a costume party, with some kind of prize for best costume, or something or other...

third, maybe a Mario Kart Wii race where everyone uses either Dry Bones or King Boo? maybe we could have a full 12-player race, where everyone is broken down into two teams of 6. one team uses Dry Bones, the other uses King Boo. there could be a point system where each team receives a certain number of points for having a team member place, say, first place through fourth place, and the team with the most points after how ever many races wins. i dunno. i'm just rambling, here...

Unfortunately, due to time constraints from working full-time and being a part-time student, i, personally, wouldn't have time to arrange any of these, but i just wanted to put some ideas out there for people. everyone should feel free to post their own ideas for Halloween events here, too!

also, a brawl tourney using only chacacters with evil costumes! (ie dark MK, Dark Link, etc.)

This sounds like an epic suggestion. Although It'd take me a while to amass a good team of ghosts.

another idea, pertaining more to the actual site than to any games would be a character contest. maybe people can submit characters they consider to be scary or creepy, and then we set up the tiers and vote on who is the creepiest character out of them all. just a thought.

While I do not own any of those games anymore (stolen, lost, etc.) I would love to see these up and running for Halloween. I was thinking about doing something aesthetically to the site and a few other contests myself.

As for the character contest I see no reason why not. I could host that myself even. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. ::):

Hmm how about changing Topia's skin to more halloween colors like orange and black for all of October. Actually we could do that every month there is a huge holiday....
